About me

I studied Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc.) and Aerospace Engineering (M.Sc.) at the University of Stuttgart. During my master’s program, my focus was on mathematical and physical modeling as well as spaceflight and space utilization.

During my master’s thesis and later as a research associate at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), I worked on optical measurement techniques, high-pressure combustion facilities, and data-driven analysis using Python. In parallel, I intensively studied nuclear energy technologies, reactor physics, and nuclear materials science.

In addition, I offer private tutoring in STEM subjects.

Abitur

I completed my Abitur at the technical grammar school of the vocational school center (BSZ) in Bietigheim-Bissingen. I chose the specialization “Technology and Management”, which prepared me for mechanical engineering studies and provided essential knowledge in economics.

My interests

Aerospace & propulsion

Propulsion systems, fluid dynamics, and energy systems in aerospace applications. I am particularly interested in innovative and alternative propulsion concepts.

Nuclear engineering

Reactor physics, neutronics, Generation IV concepts, and radiation effects on materials — pursued as an independent and in-depth field of study alongside academic and professional work.

Fusion energy

Physical fundamentals and technological concepts of fusion energy with a focus on plasma physics, reactor concepts, and the system-level feasibility of future fusion power plants.

Data-driven models & AI

Application of Python and numerical methods to link experimental measurement data with physical models. I am currently expanding my skill set by learning C++ for high-performance and efficient implementations.

Theoretical & applied physics

Foundations of quantum mechanics and spectroscopy from my master’s studies, complemented by self-directed learning to deepen the mathematical understanding of physical concepts. Further interests include relativity and particle accelerators.

Astronomy

Practical astronomical observation as part of a university examination, including the analysis of an exoplanet transit. This involved operating a remotely controlled telescope at the Sierra Remote Observatory in California.

Financial mathematics

Driven by a long-standing fascination with financial markets, I focus on the mathematical modeling and valuation of financial derivatives, particularly option pricing models such as the Black–Scholes framework.

Neuroscience

Inspired by parallels between learning processes in artificial intelligence and the human brain, my interest in neuroscience emerged. I am particularly fascinated by how biological principles can be transferred into technological systems.

Philosophy

Philosophy has accompanied me since early adolescence and laid the foundation for my fascination with natural sciences and mathematics. Engaging with thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Schopenhauer, and Nietzsche shaped my interest in fundamental questions of knowledge, reality, and science.
